Bitsy and Howell Copp, Greenwood Mountain Inn

We are at the first of many weddings taking place at the Green Wood Mountain Inn this summer.  Today I met Bitsy and Howell and there crew.  When I arrived there where sunny skies and lots of people hustling around to get everything ready for Bitsy and Howell’s big day.  I met Bisty and her daughter on the front porch having a drink and getting make-up ready.  We headed upstairs for a quick shoot with the dress and the girls.  Howell arrived in his corvette and was on his way to get ready in the bachelor suite.  When they came together the weather was looking a little crazy, however the rain held out.  As they said i do and headed for the reception tent the heavens opened up, but for only a few minutes, the rest of the wedding was sunny and dry.  A great time was had by all, thanks to Bitsy and Howell for everything.

We traveled to Cape Elizabeth to meet and do a family session with the Chase Family. Everyone gathered at Fort Williams.  All the kids wanted to run and play so keeping the shoot quick was necessary.  We took plenty of Nana & Bups and we even snuck in a photo of a smooch.  Chelsea, her daughters, sisters and brother, who is just back form Iraq, where all there and having a great time capturing these family moments.  After all was said and done we headed back to the Chases house for a BBQ.  Thanks to Chelsea and her family for giving us this opportunity to shoot them.  We had a great time.

Stephen day started a little shaky, when I arrived he was having a hard time getting his ring to fit,  I told him not to worry that when it was time the ring would slide on.  On the other side of the hotel Jenn was also getting ready for her big day, with all her brides maids around her to help with the dress, make-up, hair and calming nerves.  After all the phone calls to Stephen about last minute details, everything was ready to go.  We were able to capture many moments from the day, one moment that sticks out is a shot that we “tried” with the brides maids, I wanted them all to jump up, well when they did one of them landing on there ankle the wrong way and sprained it.  I felt terrible but she was in good spirts, and after a few glasses of wine was out on the dance floor.  The day turned out beautiful, the ceremony went off with out a hitch and the reception was great!  Thanks to Jennifer and Stephen.

These photos are form a wedding that we shot on Peaks Island for Flora and Jay. We had to catch a ferry to get to the wedding, so we were able to meet some of the guest before the wedding, some of them were even indulging in adult beverages.  Jay, the groom is a guitarist in his own band, He played a song that he wrote for his new wife after the ceremony, it was beautiful.  The Jay Biddy Band played into the night as the guest danced and had a great time. Thanks to both Flora and Jay for letting us be a part of the joyous occasion, we had a great time and loved everything.

On March 19th Wendy and Peter became husband and wife. They are such great people, very easy to work with. The wedding was held in Naples, Maine. I took this photo of there first dance together and a married couple. They are so very in love, I hope that you both have a long and happy life together.
